Hi,
Reading Andrew Davie's tutorials/lessons on the Atari Age forum is a good idea. I came into 2600 coding not knowing much about assembly language. I started reading Kirk's "2600 101" and Andrew's tutorials last October, and since then, I've made some major headway. I'm not saying it's turned me into another Thomas Jentzsch :), but now this stuff is really starting to make sense. Baby steps. Read a little at a time; soak it in.

but I never went to Andrew Davie's Newbiew Forum until now, 

so I just read some sessions and it looks like very interresting.

I'll take some notes to understand how to program the VCS with efficiency because IMO the Stella Programmers Guide is a little bit obscure to understand in some details.
