The TV Boy uses and numeric indexing. You select the game you want by entering in a number. I may have that rom image somewhere if you want to look at it. -Lee -----Original Message----- From: Kroko <Nil.Krokodil@xxxxxxx> Sent: Apr 15, 2004 1:58 PM To: stella@xxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [stella] Multicart Menu System I am currently making experiments with my flashcartridge because I want it to be a multicart. To choose the different ROMs on the cart, I will have to write a menu system. Currently I have reserved 14 characters for each ROM. The menu system should be able to somehow display the rom names and let the user select one of 127 programmed games (by joystick I guess ....) My problem is, that I am a complete newbie at VCS programming. I have the feeling that I really need some help to get started. Can you please give me some hints, how in principle a text engine for this task could be made for the VCS. Is there a description of an appropriate kernel somewhere ? What would be a realistic number of character for each entry ? -Armin ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Archives (includes files) at http://www.biglist.com/lists/stella/archives/ Unsub & more at http://www.biglist.com/lists/stella/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Archives (includes files) at http://www.biglist.com/lists/stella/archives/ Unsub & more at http://www.biglist.com/lists/stella/
