As far as I know, reading/writing at $0280 is the the same as $0288. Could it be to help stop reverse engineering? Or maybe they are reusing code? Like they already needed the $88 byte for data or whatever and they were reusing it in the code? I think some people here have done similar things of excuting data as code. -Chris
