Hmm, that sounds like a batari BASIC issue.

I'm going to side with Thomas on this disagreement.

Leaving aside the current "what's happening to Stella??" issue...
In theory [stella] is just about 2600 programming, period.
In practice though...well, I see stella having three roles:
1. general support and ideas
2. Specific ASM questions and tweaks
3. Brainstorming how to do clever things with the limited set of
objects the 2600 has

AA has the first thing covered. Two will only come up with bB coders
doing stuff inline--and they'd be welcome in that case. Three...well,
I think there's enough overlap between AA and [stella] that that
doesn't need to be in here.

At the risk of joining in the snobbishness, I'd like to see [stella]
staying a bit elite. Back when it was nearly the only game in town,
noobs came here hat in hand, and I don't think that's such a bad
thing--it was because the noobs recognized the smarts of the people
here, not because the people here talked down to them at all. batari
BASIC is a wonderful thing, but it really is a "power to the people"
kind of endavour, and I think runs against the grain of [stella]'s
core.

And I think people recognize I've actively worked to help in adding
steps up to the ivory tower of 2600 coding, and have a pretty
realistic assesment of my middling to poor coding skills, so I'm not
an elitist by nature...
