Subject: Namespace Jungle From: Anton Swanevelder <AntonS@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Mon, 27 Mar 2000 12:22:03 +0200 |
Dear Reader Being very new at this I am really strugling with namespaces. Some of your examples xsl namespace points to: <xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/TR/WD-xsl"> but the rest of xml.com, w3c ect. examples points to <xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"> The First namespace works with a simple example like this: <xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" version="1.0"> <xsl:output method="html" version="4"/> <xsl:template match="/"> <html> <head> <title>Inventory Model</title> </head> <body> <xsl:apply-templates select="MODEL"/> </body> </html> </xsl:template> <xsl:template match="MODEL"> <h1>Inventory Model</h1> <table> <th>Category</th> <xsl:apply-templates select="CAT"/> </table> </xsl:template> <xsl:template match="CAT"> <tr> <td><xsl:value-of select="@PARETO"/></td> </tr> </xsl:template> </xsl:stylesheet> but with the second namespace the Data(TD) columns doesn't show. I want to use the format-number call but it seems that the first namespace doesn't support it but the second one does. Is there anybody out there that could give me pointers on how to overcome this problem and namespace is the right one to use. I would also like to know if there is anybody that uses IE5 only or should I rather use XT or Adobe plug-in? Very confused rookie XSLT user, XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list
