Subject: [xsl] XSLT 2.0 Requirements - Regular Expressions? From: Dylan Walsh <Dylan.Walsh@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Fri, 16 Feb 2001 12:08:05 -0000 |
While looking at this document (http://www.w3.org/TR/2001/WD-xslt20req-20010214) I noticed there is no mention of regular expressions. They were listed in "Features under consideration" in the XSL 1.0 spec: http://www.w3.org/TR/xslt#section-Features-under-Consideration-for-Future-Ve rsions-of-XSLT "support for regular expressions for matching against any or all of text nodes, attribute values, attribute names, element type names". Many of the other features listed there are catered for by XSLT 1.1/2.0. Have regular expressions been ruled out? As they are present in the XML Schema spec, I would have thought XSLT/XPath could support the same syntax. XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list
