peter you can cache stylesheets (well, specifically Templates objects..."compiled" stylesheets) using xalan. it provides a noticable improvement to xalan's performance. chris -----Original Message----- From: owner-xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:owner-xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Peter.FLYNN@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, March 28, 2001 11:08 AM To: xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: RE: [xsl] XSL I've put & in and its now generating and working fine. The ${CONTACT_ID} was a TOE (Tired Operator Error) and has been replaced with {$CONTACT_ID} and that has been fixed also. Thanks to everyone on the group for their help. It looks like I'm sticking with Saxon now. Are their any performance statistics for Saxon (and the other XSLT programs) as I've noticed that it caches Style Sheets whereas Xalan does not.
