Hello, use <xsl:value-of select="count(//TEMP)"/> if you want to count ALL <TEMP>-Elements in all subtrees use <xsl:value-of select="count(TEMP)"/> if you want to count the <TEMP>-Elements in current subtree use <xsl:value-of select="count(/ROOT/TEMP)"/> if you want to count only those <TEMP>-Elements which are children of <ROOT>-Element.
