This is straightforward enough once you grasp how <xsl:namespace-alias/> lets you jump over your own shadow namespace-wise. It's covered in Mike Kay's book (p 233-36 of the 1st edition) and a search on "namespace-alias" in other places ought to turn up further pointers.
