Hi Tim, The "xsl:value-of" element retrieves only the text within the "paragraph" tag. In order to retrieve the text and any XML within the tag, you want the following: <xsl:copy-of select="paragraph/node()" /> - Jason -----Original Message----- From: Chen, Gin [mailto:Gin_Chen@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, November 15, 2001 11:10 AM To: 'xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: RE: [xsl] OK, stupid Q time Okay... everyone seems to agree that it is <BR/>. My question then is.. how do you get that BR to be displayed when translating the XML with a XSL? For example: My XML has this <paragraph>This is my first <BR/> page</paragraph> And my XSL has this <font color="red"><xsl:value-of select="paragraph"/></font> But it seems to ignore the <BR/>. I get output like: This is my first page I set the output to html using: <xsl:output method="html"/> -Tim XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list
