just had a weird idea, I was wondering if anyone has done anything like this? Okay, if you have a dynamic dom program, for example an asp page, you can output xml dynamically from it, and apply an xslt against it. you can send parameters into it, if you send the parameter myparam="one.xml" then in the xslt you can have <xsl:param name="myparam"/> <xsl:param name="doc" select="document($myparam)"/> okay what if you sent added the parameter myparam = mynodeset which would be some dynamically generated xml, so that the param in the xslt would have a nodeset like this: <xsl:param name="myparam"> <tag> blah ... ... ... ... ... </tag> </xsl:param> and one could do <xsl:if test="count($myparam/tag/sub) > 1"> ... </xsl:if> would be using msxml 4 so there'd be an inbuilt nodeset querying.
