Subject: [xsl] Newbie: XML to fixed columns From: HIGGINS Neil <neilhiggins@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Thu, 30 May 2002 20:48:55 +1000 |
Sorry for the naive question: I have a very simple repetitive structure (XML-ised homogeneous records) which I want to output as a flat file with fixed field widths (for consumption by a COBOL program). I can't work out how to stop the XSLT processor from normalising the whitespace in the output. I have the output mode set to "text" and the character set to "UTF-8". I have tried concatenating a bunch of spaces, then substring-ing to the required number of characters, but to no avail. Grateful for any help. Kind regards, Neil Higgins ENERGEX E-Mail: neilhiggins@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Phone: +61 7 3407 4179 Fax: +61 7 3407 4606 Web: www.energex.com.au ************************************************************************* This email message (including any file attachments transmitted with it) is for the sole use of the intended recipient(s) and may contain confidential and legally privileged information.
