I used JDOM a while back but I believe you have to set the encoding/escaping features in XMLOutputter (use the setEncoding() method)- it's default is UTF-8. Your best bet is to post this to the JDOM list. Without knowing JDOM, I'd suspect that you'll need to parse the string into a separate JDOM object (maybe wrapping it into a dummy element to make it a valid XML document), and then move the text node. -- <green/>bytes GmbH -- http://www.greenbytes.de -- tel:+492512807760 > -----Original Message----- > From: owner-xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > [mailto:owner-xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of ashwati s > Sent: Thursday, October 03, 2002 2:14 PM > To: xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx; xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: Re: [xsl] arabic data in xsl > > > Thank You > > The string --> > "ءآأؤإئ&] #x0627;" is > retrieved from a database.
