As has already been pointed out, this is bad advice, because it generates bad HTML. The textarea content must be character data only. Browsers typically work around this, but it is bad practice. Also, since he is using the HTML output method, the copied elements will be written in HTML syntax, possibly resulting in non-well-formed XML in his textarea. Mike -- Mike J.
