Hi Eli, XSLT uses some inbuilt templates like xsl:apply-templates. The text in nodes which are not handled explicit by you are handled by the XSLT-language and their text is printed. When you want to prevent this add empty templates to your stylesheet like <xsl:template match="input"/>. In this case the content of the input is ignored.
