That message is dated from January 2002. Saxon has moved on quite a bit since then. In particular, Saxon 7+ supports most of XSLT 2.0. See http://saxon.sourceforge.net/saxon7.6/conformance.html for a list of what it *doesn't* support from XSLT 2.0, and http://www.w3.org/TR/xslt20 for the latest XSLT 2.0 WD.
