If you use functions in a processor-specific namespace, then clearly they won't work on another processor. It may be that both processors support the same namespace (eg exslt:node-set() otherwise you can protect your code with <xsl:choose> <xsl:when test="function-avaliable('xalan-nodeset:nodeset')">,,, <xsl:otherwise> something else...
