I'm wondering if there's a way using XPath and some pattern to find case *insensitive* matches for a particular app_name?? I think this is in the FAQ list. If you don't mind a certain anglo-saxon bias then this isn't so bad app_name[translate(.,'ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ','abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz')='abc'] If you need to handle accented letters, the lists get longer; if you need to handle a German sharp S uppercasing to the two characters SS then you have to work a lot harder.
