Subject: [xsl] Please REMOVE SPAM flags in List Subject Headers From: Mulberry Technologies List Owner <xsl-list-owner@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Thu, 11 Nov 2004 12:58:23 -0500 |
If your email system flags list messages as SPAM (as many of them do these days) by putting a flag, such as [SPAM] in the header, please remove the flag (and any other spam filter related cruft) from the subject line when you reply to list postings.
If you don't remove the [SPAM] flag it starts a virtually endless loop for [SPAM] flags in subject lines, making the whole thread difficult to follow at best.
And, even if someone else forgets to remove a [SPAM] from a subject line, please remove it when replying. (Yes, this is an exception to the usual rule of leaving subject lines intact so threaded readers can use them - but people have priority over software on this list.)
