Wasn't the real mistake that Microsoft made with MSXML was the whole side-by-side/replace mode fiasco? Many people would've missed wd-xsl altogether had replace mode been the default. I believe it was only with good intentions that the side-by-side installation was invented (they didn't want to break existing code) but with hindsight that was wrong decision. cheers andrew
