I pass several variables to sablotron in php, two of which are the $sorder and $sterm variables.

$sorder can be 2 things (ascending,descending) - works fine
$sterm is a string (ie. books/authors or books/titles) - not working, however I can view the variable using <xsl:text>$sterm</xsl:text>

so the variable is being passed in fine but when it comes to showing the content
the browser is taking ages to load, and in the end it doesnt load, blank page.

Joe mentioned in his reply that it is ok if you are passing the name of one element but not a full path.
How do I get it to work with a full path (ie. books/authors or books/authors/name )

thanks!

The other thing you can do is to open the xml doc as a domDocument (don't know how to do this in Sablotron) and set the select attribute of the xsl:sort element to be the path you need. Then invoke the transform.
