Hello,
The cell formatting works correctly. The thick lines between the head and
group are correct, isn't ?

The center of the table doesn't work ok because we obtain the messages:

\docbook\print\dbtable.dsl:286:7:E: reference to undefined variable
"quadding:'center"
\docbook\print\dbtable.dsl:349:1:E: no port for label "thead"
: table-row flow object not inside a table
: table-cell flow object not inside a table

when we have modified the make table rule with the line
     quadding: 'center
