I've tried to build it yesterday and found multiple problems with the new configure system: - ./configure ./config/config.sub ./config/config.guess are all packed without the execute flag set. (I wondered if zip is unable to deal with this but I made tried it and was able to zip and unzip correctly a file with the execute flag set.) I guess the zip is created on a Windows system where such flags are inexistent. The end result is that on a Unix system, you have to run chmod u+x on those three files. - ./configure --enable-http ./configure --enable-http --enable-shared ./configure --enable-http --disable-shared --enable-static Any of those commands produce files that are erroneous. Runing make after one of those configuration commands results in make failing when it tries to link nsgmls. (It basically complains that a bunch of symbols are missing and there is no "-l" argument in the linking command.) My system is a Red Hat Linux 4.2 distribution. My guess is that libtool is not working properly. I don't have time right now to look into this problem deeper but I'd be curious to know about other successes and failures in using ./configure. I reverted to the old build method and everything went fine. Regards, ldd DSSSList info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/dsssl/dssslist
