Subject: JADE-DEV: ANNOUNCE: Jade Source Control Repository From: Avi Kivity <Avi@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Wed, 5 May 1999 11:43:03 +0200 |
I am pleased to announce that a cvs-based Jade source control repository is
now available on the net. Versions 0.1 through 1.2.1 of Jade are available.
Currently, the repository is read-only for everyone, so there is no issue
(yet) of a code fork or a new name for Jade. These matters should be cleared
with James Clark (has anyone contacted him?) before we continue.
To access the repository using the command-line cvs client, use
CVSROOT = :pserver:cvs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:/jadecvs
And login with password 12345.
Then check-out the jade sources using
cvs -z6 checkout jade
or (for example)
cvs -z6 checkout -r jade_1_1 jade
To access the repository using WinCVS, go to Admin/Preferences, and set
General/CVSROOT = cvs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/jadecvs
General/Authentication = "passwd" file on the cvs server
Globals/Use TCP/IP compression = yes
(All other parameters can remain in their default settings)
Then login using Admin/Login, and checkout the jade module using
Admin/Checkout.
I'll put up a web page on the same host soon, containing the connection
information as well as a cvsweb interface to the repository.
For more information and downloads of cvs, see http://www.cyclic.com
For more information and downloads of WinCVS, see http://www.wincvs.org
Other graphical cvs clients are available, see
