Makes me wonder if there's a problem with > body-start-indent in the TeX backend... Ah, so that's what's controlling it. BTW, %body-start-indent% appears in the "Vertical Spacing" section of the dox. I think it belongs under "Indents". Also, two more problems I noticed: releaseinfo isn't shown on the titlepage even if I add it to %book-titlepage-recto-elements%.
