Tony Graham pointed out that Docbook doesn't have a slot for
putting an author's name in an individual Glossary entry; this
is true and unlikely to change, but you can still put an
author's name in a Glossdef:
<!DOCTYPE glossdef PUBLIC '-//Davenport//DTD DocBook V3.0//EN' []>
<glossdef><para>stuff. <author><surname>Allen</surname></author>
</para></glossdef>
but I don't know that this makes Docbook better suited to the
purpose at hand. (you could also use the Role attribute)
