Subject: Unicode / Math Sybmols and RTF -> Postscript From: "Glenn R. Kronschnabl" <grk@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Mon, 23 Jun 1997 13:42:06 -0500 |
Its always great to learn something new - now I know unicode. Had heard a lot about it, but now I understand it (see http://www.unicode.org). so now my bullet problem has gone away and "\bullet" works great! Thanks James. As always, we come back for more... I am trying to use &Delta (the math symbol) and it shows up correctly in the RTF file. But when I print to postscript (apple laser writer driver from WindowsNT) the delta turns into a '?' in every location. What gives? When I select the delta in the RTF file, it says it is Times-Roman and has the right unicode number. Does this mean a postscript problem? (i.e., no unicode support). Or a printer driver problem? I noticed that when I do a Word document and include a Delta, that the font it uses is 'Symbol'. But with unicode, shouldn't Times-Roman work okay? Cheers, Glenn -------------------- Glenn R.
