page-sequence and modes.

Hi.

I believe someone posted something about numbering in TOC with roman
digits some time ago. I can't found it in the archive.
BTW, I am wondering which is the best way to have a TOC with a specific
numbering. Is it to have a page sequence for each mode (one for TOC, the
other for the body ?). Doing this, I have difficulties to connect my TOC
items with the page numbers of the body.

Any hints ?
