Subject: [jats-list] Tagging Peer-Review Comments and Replies in JATS From: "Haber, David dhaber@xxxxxxxxxx" <jats-list-service@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Thu, 15 Dec 2016 16:33:19 -0000 |
Hi, We are investigating ways of including peer-reviewers' comments and author's replies within an article encoded using the JATS 1.0 journal publishing tag set. We've seen some publishers accomplish this by tagging the objects as supplemental data, whereas others include the comments in the back element as a section. Both these alternatives seem less than ideal, and we were wondering if there were other/better alternatives. We've thought about tagging the content as a response, but that seems to be a bit of a stretch. So does anybody have any thoughts or ideas about handling a reviewers comments? Has there been a best practice established? Thanks.
