JATS-Con that was scheduled to take place tomorrow and the day after has been postponed, but some of the proceedings have already been published. One of them is an interesting case study of requirements markup at Standards Norway.

Modeling requirements and other semantic information is an important topic in the NISO STS review that the Standing Committee is currently conducting.

Kenbs paper gives us a glimpse of how it can be done with existing tools, to wit the <named-content> element and its content-type, vocab, and vocab-term attributes, and by referring to an externally maintained taxonomy.

Also a hat tip to DorothC)e Stadler who is a regular on this list and who was, as I perceive it from afar, instrumental in establishing this requirements markup at Standards Norway.
