You might want to check out the Bean Markup Language, available from IBM's
Alphaworks website. One of the early testcases read XMLified HTML forms and
generated AWT or Swing versions of those interactions.

If you want to generate a GUI from an XML DTD (which may be a more common
need), there are other tools on Alphaworks representing work in that area.
