Subject: stylesheets, dtd vs schema, implementations and stuff :) From: "Mattias Konradsson" <preacher@xxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Wed, 20 Jan 1999 13:30:55 +0100 |
Thanks Guy :) Using asp for stylesheets work for now, but as you pointed out, I hope they come up with a better solution. Stylesheets with inheritance or something like it perhaps? Often the differences between stylesheets can be pretty minor. Anyone worked with the microsoft schema versus dtd thing btw? I've used both and I must say I prefer the schema. Keeping to xml syntax seems better than having a separate one for the dtd. You can use the same tools and validate etc. I'm doing alot of research on xml and xsl at the moment, the question is , is it ready to put to the test on fullfledged site, anyone tried? (using iis4 and msxml.dll that is) What was the major issues etc. I'm thinking of defining my data in xml, have it processed into sql server and then have queries output xml .. seems like a powerful and flexible solution. ----------------- Mattias Konradsson, Internet Specialist ICON Medialab mattias.konradsson@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx designSPACE http://www.fragzone.se/preacher/designspace/ XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list
