Paul:

I agree with your views.  I think it's important to note that accessing
XML with XSL as data objects makes it very easy to use those OOP and OOS
languages to manipulate the objects.  Combined with the fact that most
of the Internet crowd uses browsers with GUI that lend themselves to
providing point and click or mouse over event handlers, OO  is perfect
for XML/XSL via the <xsl:script> tags.

Data should remain pure though and I do not share the point of view that
a <script> tag should be in XML itself.
