Postscript directly from XSL

XT has the ability to generate non-XML output. Has anyone tried using a
stylesheet to directly generate Postscript?

I'm aware of FOP. But with FOP you generate flow objects and then run a Java
program to convert them to Postscript. Can the postscript be directly
generated from the stylesheet transformation?
