Okay according to the W3C standard */para selects all para grandchildren of the context node so if I do the following it should work <xsl:template match="document"> <xsl:if test="*/packet[@secur.classif='U']"> <xsl:text>U N C L A S S I F I E D</xsl:text> </xsl:if><p></p> </xsl:template> or am I missing something?
