Dear Michael, I have included a means of displaying the values inside the recursive template and I am very happy with the resulting algorithm. Thank you very much for your assistance. I have one outstanding question: on outputting the values I am receiving empty fields (instead of strings and numbers) and NaN fields (instead of calculated fields). I understand that NaN represents a string where I was hoping a number would appear? ..... <xsl:param name="product_fragment" select="//Components/Product"/> ..... <xsl:variable name="first" select="$product_fragment[1]"/> <xsl:variable name="cost" select="$first/Qty * $first/Price"/> ...... <TableRow> <TableData><xsl:value-of select="$first/Desc"/></TableData> <TableData><xsl:value-of select="$first/Qty"/></TableData> ...... <TableData><xsl:value-of select="$cost"/></TableData> </TableRow> ....... Is there some reading material that you might be able to direct me to or some suggestions? Again Thank you kindly Rhonda XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list
