Granted, but its only an attribute name in XSL and its
an attribute value in XML and the DTD, a whole other
reason why I can't use it if I want to test for it
with this type of variable.  (Note: I wrote a prior
message detailing the actual variable test).

Thanks for your reply, I greatly appreciate all the info.
especially since it did not dawn on me until mentioned here
that DAVID/XSL= would be considered a attribute name.  Yeah!
Okay so, I'm not the brightest bulb, but I'm gettin' this stuff,
slowly but surely.
