Thanks for trying first, that archive search is really powerful isn't it! Thanks Tony & all@mulberry! You /may/ want to see the discussions arising from Dave Pawsons post on "position()" http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list/archive/msg11492.html which looks like a similar issue to me. What is it that position() is actually counting? In the context of apply-templates, it counts total templates applied, not templates of a certain type matched. (or something like that) And although I used two terms incorrectly in my reply, ;-) I think the previous postings might give you somewhere to start from. cheers, .dan. :=====================:====================: : Dan Morrison : The Web Limited : : http://here.is/dan : http://web.co.nz : : dman@xxxxxxxx : danm@xxxxxxxxx : : 04 384 1472 : 04 495 8250 : : 025 207 1140 : : :.....................:....................: : If ignorance is bliss, why aren't more people happy? :.........................................: XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list
