The problem probably is that the URI does not point to a document. It just
gives a protocol (http) and a hostname (www.heml.org), but it does not at
all specify which document on that hostname it supposed to point to.
Usually a web server on a host would deliver by default an index.htm(l)
from the root of the published directory tree, but this is not necessarily
an XML document (in this particular case it is definitely not).
Maybe you should try something like
'http://www.heml.org/samples/document.xml' ...
