| substring($string, 1 div number($condition)) | (Note: works with Saxon and XT, but not with my versions of Xalan and | Oracle XSL - but I've not installed the latest versions ...) OracleXSL 2.0.2.9 currently hiccups on: substring('A','Infinity') I've filed a bug to get this fixed. XT, Saxon, MSXSL3 return the empty string. ______________________________________________________________ Steve Muench, Lead XML Evangelist & Consulting Product Manager BC4J & XSQL Servlet Development Teams, Oracle Rep to XSL WG Author "Building Oracle XML Applications", O'Reilly http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/orxmlapp/ XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list
