gif in pdf

I am using the Tomcat server to transform my xml
archive into pdf, the  
not accepted Tomcat the version of xsl:stylesheet,
when making some  
changes to try to decide the problem the Tomcat does
not find the  
figure, where I must place the figure,  as I decide
the problem of the  
version,  very obliged.
