Subject: escaping quotes with \" From: Lee Bierman <lbierman@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Thu, 28 Sep 2000 12:36:30 -0700 |
I found this snippet of code on the faq but don't quite understand it. So if I want to escape all my quotes I just add this XSL to the bottom of my page or do I need to associate every value of with it? Please help out the newbie.. Thanks <xsl:variable name="noQuote"><xsl:call-template name="cleanQuote"> <xsl:with-param name="string"><xsl:value-of select="$noLF" /></xsl:with-param> </xsl:call-template> </xsl:variable> <xsl:template name="cleanQuote"> <xsl:param name="string" /> <xsl:if test="contains($string, '"')"> <xsl:value-of select="substring-before($string, '"')" />\"<xsl:call-template name="cleanQuote"> <xsl:with-param name="string"><xsl:value-of select="substring-after($string, '"')" /> </xsl:with-param> </xsl:call-template> </xsl:if> <xsl:if test="not(contains($string, '"'))"><xsl:value-of select="$string" /> </xsl:if> </xsl:template> XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list
