Hi Fred, thanks for the info, but a) I cannot change the XML b) Until now, I have no problem with addressing all contributors that have a type = AU or a type = something - the quotes part of my stylesheet works so far. The problem is: I need to create an OUTPUT which reads book 1 1. type is AU Anna 2. type is ED Ernst Elisabeth book2 1. type is AU Andrew 2. type is CON Cindy I manage to output 'type is <something>' once for each group of contributors, which are of the same type.
