Where? I see your code with an empty parameter named "count".... since
you don't tell us how your are setting it, I'm not sure how we are meant
to help.

I'll assume that you are using the <xsl:with-param> method to set the
parameter with a value... if you aren't, then how exactly are you giving
the parameter a value?
