Such a test is measures the time it takes to start the Java VM to a greater extent than it measures the speed of transformation. This is true of any Java XSLT processor. You need to get it running and do multiple transformations to benchmark it correctly. There are benchmarks on the web which show the XSLTC to be a good performer.
