Subject: [xsl] Converting linebreaks From: "Joel P Thornton" <joelt@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Wed, 2 May 2001 14:48:53 -0700 |
I have this xml: ================ <text>This is line 1. This is <B>line 2</B>. This is line 3.</text> ================ Does XSLT provide a way that I can transform it into this?: ================ <text> This is line 1. <BR/> This is <B>line 2</B>. <BR/> This is line 3. </text> ================ I'm piecing together an XML-based content management tool and it would be most convenient for content editors to just hit enter when they want a line break to occur, giving them a sort of cross-breed of plaintext and HTML. Hopefully this could also be adapted to a scenario where each linefeed-separated block of text is turned into <para>block of text</para> or similar.. Ideas? joel XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list
