If the 'name' you are wanting to use is the value of the current node:

<img src="arrow.gig">
	<xsl:attribute name="name"><xsl:value-of select="."/></xsl:attribute>
</img>

you could also put the src as an attribute
<img>
	<xsl:attribute name="src">arrow.gif</xsl:attribute>
	<xsl:attribute name="name"><xsl:value-of select="."/></xsl:attribute>
</img>
but either way this should work
