That isn't quite true but anyway the easiest way is something like <xsl:apply-templates select="document('http://localhost/Northwind?SQL=SELECT+firstname,lastname+F ROM+employees+FOR+XML+AUTO')" /> if you have SQL 2000 or the SQL XML Technology preview.
