If you absolutely insist on using un-well-formed xml, you can use <xsl:text> with disable-output-escaping set to yes to generate "pseudo-tags" that won't get parsed out of the XSLT stylesheet: <xsl:text disable-output-escaping="yes"><div></xsl:text> This will generate a <div> tag in the output, but is ignored by the processor because it is not technically a "tag". -------------- Zarella Rendon Principal Consultant HMM Consulting International, Inc.
