The problem is > that when I run the xsl through the transformer (MICROSOFT.XMLDOM), it > outputs
?

5/1/02
. Is this enough information to know what > I am doing wrong? Nothing is wrong with the XSL, only the browser can't display the character. 到 means that all characters will be escaped before the transformer get's to see it: 到 So this will be placed in the output and shown in the browser as you saw it.
